PAN EAST GENERAL CONTRACTING LTD is an Iraqi company that was originally formed in the 1980s through the takeover of the local activities of an international contracting company in Qatar, which had been active since 1976. At that time, the complete local management, staff, and equipment of the European company were acquired, and activities continued on the same scale, with an emphasis on engineered construction only.
The company re-operated in Iraq after June 2003 and has been active in fluids handling, covering many areas of activities as a Premium Grade General Contracting Company registered and qualified in almost all major Iraqi Ministries, Refineries, and with USA Contractors.

Representative projects have included industrial projects such as a 42,000 m2 warehousing complex, a soft drink bottling plant, a liquid gas storage and handling facility, as well as seawater treatment facilities. Additionally, the company has been involved in the rehabilitation of gasoline storage tanks, water and sewage pumping stations, and the design and construction of new pumping stations, alongside many other fluids handling projects.
Institutional projects include a number of facilities for universities, the Ministry of Municipalities, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Electricity and Water, the General Petroleum Corporation, the Armed Forces, the Air Force, the U.S. Army, Projects Departments at the Ministry of Oil, and the Sewage Authority.
PAN EAST GENERAL CONTRACTING LTD. has also performed major works for several reputable international companies such as Interbeton, Alsthom, GEC Alsthom Engineering System, Belleli SPA Italy, Ansaldo Energy, FCB France, Shinwa Engineering Co. Seoul, Nuovo Pignone Italy, Chiyoda Corp., Praxair Instruments Inc. USA, Westbury & Northcrofts, Washington Group, Parsons, KBR, Halliburton, etc.
Pan East’s engagement in engineered construction has led the company to become involved in all types of structural repairs and shutdown services.
Equally, a thorough knowledge of the construction process, combined with solid engineering know-how and disciplined organization, has enabled the company to successfully complete a number of extremely intricate and difficult assignments throughout the years of experience, and the management has improved the quality of work and performance.
The experience of Pan East’s staff in a rigid process plant environment results from previous work overseas for international companies and has equally contributed to shaping their local organization. The company has, in the past, employed up to 600 persons with a considerable yearly turnover.
